Frequently Asked Questions

Which communities need a Caste Certificate?

In Uttar Pradesh, under the reservation policy, citizens belonging to OBC (Other Backward Classes), SC (Scheduled Castes), and ST (Scheduled Tribes) require a Caste Certificate to claim educational, scholarship, and employment benefits. General category candidates do not require a caste certificate.

What if my father does not have a Caste Certificate?

If your father does not hold a formal government-issued Caste Certificate, you can submit valid lineage evidence. This includes land registry papers indicating caste nomenclature, grandfather's local caste records, or a verified family tree (Shajra) attested by the local Lekhpal.

What is the processing fee and time?

We charge a flat ₹99 fee for processing and assisting with your certificate. The average processing time is 3 to 7 business days depending on government desk queues.

How is the Caste certificate verified?

The application is forwarded digitally to the respective Tehsil of your permanent district. The local Lekhpal performs a verification check based on your family's historical record and submits a clearance report to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), who digitally signs the certificate.
