Under UP government rules, students are dependents. You must declare the active annual income of your primary earning parent/guardian (meaning father, or mother if father is absent/deceased). The candidate's personal income is declared as zero.
For salaried government/private employees, Form 16 or recent salary slip is required. For agriculturalists, farmers, and retailers, provide land documents (Khasra/Khatauni), bank statements, or a self-claimed declaration of annual crop yield value.

For candidates belonging to General, OBC, and Minorities, the maximum annual family income limit to be eligible for UP Scholarship is ₹2.00 Lakhs. For SC/ST candidates, the limit is extended up to ₹2.50 Lakhs per annum.
